NEW BEGINNINGS
This is an intensive live in program whereby the participant is removed from the negative environment that has caused the crisis and is placed in a controlled environment at Delhuntie Youth Care.
OUR PROGRAM
The program uses nutrition, adventure therapy, skills training, and counselling to develop the mind, body and soul in each client.
The participants are progressively given the opportunity to take on responsibilities and are encouraged to make their own decisions in a supportive and nurturing environment to help prepare them for returning to the "real world".
A vegetarian diet is followed at Delhuntie that excludes the use of all intoxicants.
If the participant has a high level of acidity or toxins in their system hydrotherapy and massage treatments are also utilised. This alone has greatly improved mood and mental processes.
BACK TO BASICS
Basic life principles are taught to each client, which remain in their minds for future reference for positive decision-making.
Delhuntie is also used as an ongoing support centre, where rehabilitated youth drop in or use the Centre as a reference point when the going gets tough.
